Guinea : 40 million euros from the EU for education and biodiversity protection

A sectoral program for education and biodiversity protection in Guinea will be financed to the tune of 40 million euros by the European Union (EU).

According to the Minister of Planning and International Cooperation, Rose Pola Pricemou, an initial tranche of 14 million euros should enable the transitional government to address the threats of degradation and destruction of the environment and biodiversity across the country.

Savannah, mangrove and forest are the three landscapes that will essentially be taken into account in the implementation of this project targeting networks of protected areas in Guinea.
