Global warming: Africa loses up to 5% of its economic output

Africa is losing up to 5% of its economic output to global warming, according to UN climate chief Simon Stiell. Despite its reduced environmental impact, the continent receives only 1% of annual global climate funding. A financial emergency highlighted on the eve of COP29.
