Public Conference in Kourittenga Highlights ‘Faso Mebo’ Initiative Aimed at Youth Engagement


Kourittenga: A public conference on the ‘Faso Mebo’ initiative to raise awareness among young people.



According to Burkina Information Agency, the Secretary General of the Kourittenga province, Fernand Wenceslas Y. N’Do, chaired a public conference in Koupela on the ‘Faso Mebo’ initiative. This event was part of the 72 hours of activities marking the 11th edition of the Youth in Motion Association (AJeM). The focus of the conference was to raise awareness about civic engagement among the youth of Kourittenga.



The theme for the conference was “Youth of Kourittenga, through sport and our various contributions, let us be useful to our homeland: let us support the patriotic initiative Faso Mebo,” and it was developed by Lieutenant Abdoul Fatah Sawodogo, the regional coordinator of ‘Faso Mebo’ for the Nakambe region. The initiative aims to involve young people in civic activities, as emphasized by Lieutenant Sawodogo during his presentation.



Lieutenant Sawodogo explained that the project has been successfully launched in Tenkodogo and is currently in the implementation phase in Kourittenga. He encouraged participants to support the initiative actively, aiming to transform their cities within a few years by soliciting tangible donations and technical skills from the population.



Alain Desire, president of the Youth in Motion Association (AJeM), expressed satisfaction with the conference’s discussions and highlighted the importance of the theme centered on patriotism. He acknowledged the ‘Faso Mebo’ initiative and thanked President Captain Ibrahim Traore for encouraging civic and patriotic participation.



Fernand Wenceslas Y. N’Do, the Secretary General of the province, commended the theme’s relevance and the presentation’s quality. He expressed gratitude on behalf of the High Commissioner to the speaker and the Youth in Motion Association for their efforts to benefit the youth of Kourittenga. The MAJeM grand finale is set to take place on the grounds of sector 03 in Koupela.
