Djibo: The Alliance of Women Committed to the Fatherland (AFEP) offers a donation of more than 3 million FCFA to the FDS and VDP.The Alliance of Women Committed to the Homeland (AFEP) of the Soum region made, on Saturday, October 25, 2025, a donation worth three million one hundred and thirty-five thousand CFA francs (3,135,000 F) to the Defense and Security Forces (FDS) as well as to the Volunteers for the Defense of the Homeland (VDP). The donation consists of fuel, food, and communications equipment.
According to Burkina Information Agency, the regional coordinator of the AFEP of Soum, Ms. Fatimata Tamboura, explained that this gesture reflects the civic commitment of the women of Soum towards national defense. “As mothers, wives, and patriots, we have a duty to take concrete action. This donation represents our contribution to nation-building,” she said, before concluding: “Where there is a need, we will go.”
On the ground, the FDS and VDP welcomed this support with gratitude, perceiving it as a strong symbol of national unity and confidence in their commitment.
In a context where every act of solidarity counts, the AFEP initiative demonstrates the firm will of the Burkinabe people to remain standing, united, and looking towards a better future.
