Ouagadougou: The Nakamb© Regional Committee for the Fight against AIDS and STIs (CRLS/IST) convened its inaugural session of the year in Tenkodogo, focusing on evaluating their mid-term activities for 2025. The session was led by the Governor of the Nakamb© region, Colonel Aboudou Karim Lamizana.
According to Burkina Information Agency, the meeting gathered technical services, civil society organizations, and implementing partners to assess the results of the regional response to the Multisectoral Plan to Combat AIDS and STIs for the first half of 2025. Governor Lamizana, who also serves as the president of the regional committee, emphasized the session as a platform for reflection and sharing, aimed at recognizing achievements, addressing challenges, and setting new objectives for a more effective fight against the diseases.
The participation level of stakeholders underscored the significance of the battle against HIV, AIDS, and STIs in the region. The outcomes of the session are expected to provide guidelines and recommendations that will enhance a coordinated, united, and effective regional approach to tackling the pandemic.
