Burkina Plans Three Days of Tributes for Late Philanthropist Alino Faso

Ouagadougou: The Burkinabe nation is preparing to pay tribute to the philanthropist Alino Faso through an evening scheduled for this Thursday at 7 p.m. at CENASA. On Friday at 7 p.m., a prayer vigil will be held at his home in Dassasgho.

According to Burkina Information Agency, the rest of the tributes will take place on Saturday: the body will be removed at 8 a.m. from the Bogodogo morgue, absolution at 9 a.m. at the Saint-Camille parish, followed by burial at 12 p.m. at the Gounghin cemetery. As a reminder, Alino Faso was unjustly arrested in January 2025 in Ivory Coast, before dying on July 24 in unclear circumstances.

Ouagadougou, which rejects the suicide theory put forward by the Ivorian justice system, has promised that the philanthropist’s death will not go unpunished.
