Jason Evans and Colleen Piketh, two of South Africa’s best bowlers, had a spectacular weekend at Wingate Park, winning gold in the South African Masters. The singles event, which is the blue ribbon championship in bowls, provided the ideal platform for the country’s top athletes to establish their claim in the national squad ahead of the Commonwealth Games this year.
