Kadiogo: The Director General of Customs, Divisional Inspector Yves Kafando, made an unannounced visit to the premises of Ouaga Route (Ouaga Inter) this Sunday to see for himself the effective opening of the offices in accordance with the measure which indicates that customs offices will remain open 7 days a week.
According to Burkina Information Agency, since the implementation of Regulation 14, it has been noted that a massive influx of trucks were parked along the road at Ouaga Inter and another queue was occupied along the bypass. To address this situation, measures have been taken to ensure that, from the last quarter of 2025, the customs offices at Ouaga Route are open 7 days a week.
“Today, it is Sunday, October 26, 2025, we came to see the effective opening of the offices and to note that indeed at the Ouaga Route office, there is a rush. It is done, the office is open,” Yves Kafando stated.
For him, this measure of working 7 days a week is to permanently put customs services at the disposal of users, ensuring that importers are not adversely affected.
Divisional Inspector Yves Kafando invites users to join the dynamic underway so that all customs procedures can be completed swiftly.
Mr. Kafando toured the departments to congratulate and encourage colleagues for their daily sacrifices to achieve objectives.
“They did a tremendous job. This month in particular, they surpassed the 100% revenue collection target set for the office. This is very much appreciated,” he noted.
The Director General urged colleagues to maintain this momentum to support other offices for optimal revenue mobilization.
The head of the Ouaga Route (Ouaga Inter) office, Ghislain Sanon, welcomed the DG’s visit, recognizing the efforts of work well done and motivating employees to persevere in achieving the set objectives.
