Orchestra of the Presidency of Faso Prepares for International Debut at Moscow Festival


Moscow: The Minister of Communication, Culture, Arts and Tourism, Gilbert Pindgwend© OUEDRAOGO, was present in Moscow to attend a rehearsal session of the orchestra of the Presidency of Faso at the 17th International Military Music Festival “Spasskaya Tower,” which commemorates the 80th anniversary of the Victory in the Great Patriotic War.



According to Burkina Information Agency, Minister OUEDRAOGO, along with the Ambassador of Burkina Faso to Moscow, visited Red Square to support the orchestra during their rehearsals. The event marks Burkina Faso’s first participation in the festival, with the orchestra of the Presidency of Faso making its debut on the international stage. Minister OUEDRAOGO emphasized the honor of being invited to the festival and highlighted the unique repertoire that combines traditional and modern elements, setting them apart from other orchestras.



The orchestra, led by Commander Aim© C©saire OUEDRAOGO, will perform a carousel accompanied by music and dance steps from Burkina Faso. The morale of the musicians is reported to be high, bolstered by the encouragement from both the Minister and the Ambassador. Commander OUEDRAOGO expressed the readiness and eagerness of the musicians to represent Burkina Faso and make their mark at the festival.
